I just wanted to pick up where Kevin left off. We've talked about doing this blog for a while. I think a big reason we decided to do this was simply because, like Kevin said, we're going through a transitional time right now. I feel like we've been in a transitional period forever though. But, this has made us grow as a band and as people. The three of us have learned alot about ourselves doing this band. Not only have we learned about ourselves as individuals but, also as a band and as musicians and what we're capable of. We really try to push ourselves and each other to become better people and musicians.
I also wanted to elaborate a little more on what Kevin said about the new material. When we say the new songs are a mirror image of our lives....we mean just that. We've all gone through alot of stuff over the past 2 years. Money problems, losing friendships, moving, having nowhere to live and death among other things, have really contributed to how we write now. This band has basically just become a tool for us to express ourselves. Which honestly, is what it should have been from the get go.
Again, this blog is a way for us to communicate our feelings about our lives and this band to you. We appreciate all the support we've had thus far. We appreciate you for reading this. We hope you guys stick it out with us. There's more to come from Hard Luck.

Another Day in the Life
A lot of people have been asking us what have we been up to or what our plans are. We've only put out one release to date and have yet to deliver anything since. So here is a recap as to what has happened to our band since recording for the split nearly a year ago:
-We parted ways with Josiah in May of 2007 and had our friend Eddie take over on vocals
-We would then part ways with our bassist Anthony and have yet to have a solid bassist since.
-The split was released in October of 2007 on Smooth Kriminal Records (6 months after we finished recording due to multiple incidents outside of anybody's control)
Ok, so at this point Eddie was already living in Florida and writing had come to a complete stop. Changes needed to be done and the first act was to bring Josiah back. We parted with Eddie and played our first show back in January 2008. Since then we have cut back on shows and focused entirely on the writing process.
Most of the songs that were on the split I had written after I graduated high school and was attempting to figure out who i was as an individual. I was obviously at a different point in my life as well as Jeremy who was fresh off of his time in the Crimescene. Now 3 years later, I'm at a new point in my life; a transitional point. This can be said for Jeremy and Josiah as well. Now more than ever, the music we are writing is heavily influenced by our lives. I'd say the newer songs are mirror images of our lives. With the new songs, we've really gone beyond any expectation that anyone has had for this band.
I didn't start this for any reason other than a way for us as a band to log our progression. I'd like to think that anyone who reads this can relate to us and our music better. If so, we will be updating this from time to time. Now I'm gonna finish the school work i've been neglecting for the past 3 hours.
